AN@S Education Awards 2021

Applications for the AN@S’ annual scholastic achievement awards (ASAA) and bursary for 2021 is now open. This is the 11th year in which AN@S will disburse funds to Singapore students of Arab background, since its inception in 2010. To date, a total of $165,000 has been awarded to more than 180 students.

In addition to the monetary incentives, the ASAA and bursary recipients will also be eligible for a customised 2-year transformational development programme. This program helps students design and boost their personal, academic and career development plans. It also specifically helps in character building and community engagement. This unique program has been specially designed, and driven by the Alattas Group, and has produced stellar alumni. 

The deadline to submit applications and supporting documents for ASAA and AN@S Bursary Awards is 22nd February 2021. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview with our review panel comprising of educators and professionals from the community.  

Below are the details of the applications for ASAA and AN@S Bursary Awards:

AN@S Scholastic Achievement Awards – ASAA

The ASAA is awarded to students who achieve excellence in academic and non-academic fields and/or exhibit character and aptitude for holistic excellence.

Criteria:

  • 1) Singaporean or PR of Singapore
  • 2) Arab background from both parents or maternal / paternal side
  • 3) Full-time Student at the following levels:
  •  – Junior College, International Baccalaureate (IB) or Equivalent
  •  – Polytechnic or Equivalent
  •  – University

AN@S Bursary Awards 

The AN@S Bursary Award is awarded to students who achieve excellence in academic and non-academic fields and/or exhibit character and aptitude for holistic excellence, AND whose family’s net total income does not exceed $1,800 per month. Priority will be given to those who are financially affected by the COVID19 Pandemic.

Criteria:

  1. 1) Singaporean or PR of Singapore
  2. 2) Arab background from both parents or maternal / paternal side
  3. 3) Net total family income not exceeding $1,800 per month or Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of S$450.00 and below
  4. 4) Full-time Student at the following levels:
  5.  – Junior College, International Baccalaureate (IB) or Equivalent
  6.  – Polytechnic or Equivalent
  7.  – University
